Antiquing at The Big Chicken Barn

July 8, 2012 By Mary

I didn’t have a chance to get to any yard sales this week, but I did get to visit a local antique store.  The Big Chicken Barn is located on Coastal Route 1 in Ellsworth, Maine.  It has over 21,000 square feet of pure goodness which translated means tons  of antiques and vintage items.
I happened to find these two vintage framed paint by number sailboat paintings.  I wish I could capture the pretty colors better.  They were only $14 each and 20% off.
Whoever painted them did a really beautiful job.  Now I just have to find a place to hang them.

Whoever painted those paint by numbers had some skills. Usually, they look like paint by numbers, but yours do not. They look like a person painted them free-hand.

I love paint by numbers! I have a matador! Your sailboats are gorgeous – and I’ve always wanted to visit Maine. Maybe next summer.
