I finally did it!  I migrated from Blogger to Wordpress this week, but not without a few glitches.  Thanks to Kristi Linauer of Linauer Designs and Addicted 2 Decorating – everything that was once broken is now fixed.  You see being the die hard DIYer that I am, I decided to try migrating by myself.  I made it half way.  I got as far as setting up my test site using Sharon Hujik’s tutorial.  I thought the test site looked a little drab and decided to find someone who could do some customization.  I contacted four different designers and Kristi came back with the most reasonable quote.  She did a beautiful job adding the title tags and customizing my header.  She also added the  custom about me to the sidebar and did some coding to make custom post titles.  Kristi was so patient with me and the turn around was very quick.  Then it was my turn to continue the launch of the site.  That was where things got tricky for me – a little technical – and I got into trouble.  I sent out an S.O.S. to Kristi and she helped me.  She ended up having to start all over again.  She was so kind with her time.  Basically, If I had to do it over again, I would have signed up for my host through Kristi using HostGator.

I am just so thankful that everything is up and working.
