Maple Glazed Apple Tarts
Ingredients
- 1 sheet prepared puff pastry (thawed according to package directions)
- 2 apples (peeled, and thinly sliced)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- sugar (for dusting)
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Directions
| 1. | Preheat oven to 375*F. |
| 2. | Unfold the thawed pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll into a 12" square. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 (about 6-inch) squares. Place the pastry squares on a baking sheet. |
| 3. | Arrange sliced apples in the center of each square. leaving a 1/2" border. Roll border towards apples. |
| 4. | Brush pastry with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sugar. |
| 5. | Bake at 375*F for 25 minutes until puffed and golden. Set aside. |
| 6. | In a small bowl mix confectioner's sugar with maple syrup. Drizzle a tablespoon of maple icing on each apple tart. Serve. |
