Brimfield Antique Show

May 21, 2013 By Mary

Brimfield

I made my list, set my budget, lathered myself in sunblock, donned my  straw beach hat and comfortable walking shoes, grabbed my sunglasses, folding rolling cart and water bottle and headed to the largest outdoor antiques show in the country – the Brimfield Antiques Show. brimfield2

Brimfield week is quite an experience with 23 fields filled with over 5,000 dealers. It can be a little overwhelming at times hence my list and budget. There are lots of fields that have free admission and then there are some premium fields that require an admission fee of around $5.00.  There is definitely something for everyone at the show. I came home with a water color painting ($25), round mahogany end table ($50), orange Pyrex bowl ($10), and a vase ($8) that reminded me of the Anthropologie flower vases. I stayed under my $100 budget and was happy with my purchases.

Brimfield Flea Market Finds

The Brimfield Antiques Show takes place three times a year. The next show dates are July 9 – 14, and September 3 – 8.

If you decide to go, be sure to check out Kelly at Eclectically Vintage’s – Cool Girl’s Flea Market Prep List.

Oh, my! I would have a hard time trying to decide what to buy! You came home with some great items and I can’t wait to see them in your home.

I would definitely find that very overwhelming, Mary, but it would be a lot of fun. You were well prepared for the weather and walking. The table you found is beautiful. Enjoy the week. Blessings, Pamela

So wish I could have joined you – of all the times to get sick! But July just might be my time! Great finds – love the Pyrex!

Looks like you found some really great things at the show, Mary. I can imagine it would be very easy to become overwhelmed
