You Might be a DIY Blogger if…

August 15, 2012 By Mary

If you know that chalk paint isn’t just for chalk boards anymore, then you might be a DIY blogger.

Console Table Upcycle

If you hear the words Haven, Hometalk and Pinterest and your heart skips a beat, then you might be a DIY blogger.

If you’ve taken 50 pictures of  anything at 10 different angles and you are not a professional photographer, then you might be a DIY blogger.

Living Room Progress

If you’d rather browse your local Habitat ReStore than go to Neiman Marcus, then you might be a DIY blogger.

If you look at a Ballard Design, Pottery Barn or Anthropologie catalogue for ideas on what to make rather than buy, then you might be a DIY blogger.

DIY: Anthro Inspired Shade

If you’ve bought books not because you want to read them, but because they would make good photo props, then you might be a DIY blogger.

Guest Bedroom Reveal
If your son asks you who you are making a cake for and you reply, “It’s for the blog”, then you just might be a DIY blogger.

Orange Cake

If you see a wood pallet by a dumpster and have the urge to pull over and pick it up, then you might be a DIY blogger.

If you bought flowers to take a picture of a lamp shade then you might be a DIY blogger.

Horchow Inspired Lampshade

If you’ve looked at a wicker basket and actually thought about how you could transform it into a night stand, then you might be a DIY blogger.

***

If you are having trouble thinking of what to post because you’ve been away, and you decide to have a little fun Jeff Foxworthy style, then you are most definitely a DIY blogger.

Hilarious! When you think about it, it really is absurd the lengths we bloggers go to in order to publish a blogworthy post. It reminds me of the days of hosting boutiques in my house. My friend’s husband would come into her kitchen to see what smelled so good. It was either bread dough or cinnamon applesauce ornaments she was baking to hang on our tree. Yum!
