Just a bit of news I forgot to mention here last month. Coastal Living asked me if they could use one of my photos in their October issue. What? After I picked myself up off the floor, I calmly agreed to it. It is on page 14 for those of you who have the issue. The article is about sleeping porches, and they wanted to use one of the photos I took from Stacey and Mark’s Sleeping Porch. You can see the full post with all the pictures here.

My grandfather had a wonderful home. One small bedroom had a door that opened onto a screened porch. The room was reserved for adults because he kept a rifle in the room. Children often fell asleep on the porch swing. My mind can quickly take me to memories of whippoorwills, bullfrogs and crickets sounds in the night air. Those memories provide me peace in the most stressful moments of my life.
Glad you have a special place to enjoy too.
